Thank you from all of us for the exquisite Torah mantles. As you have
probably heard, the dedication ceremony on Rosh Hashanah Eve went exceedingly
well, but even more gratifying, the reaction to the mantles has been unanimously
superlative. We are eternally grateful.

In an age of rugged individualism, it is gratifying to witness a meaningful;
group effort. And that is precisely what the Sisterhood tapestry is
– almost a hundred people united for an artistic common goal.
And what exciting results! A magnificent tapestry on a 6 ft. x 10 ft.
canvas, depicting the symbols connected with Judaism and Temple life
from the story of Jacob’s dream in Genesis 28. “And he called
this place Beth El.” The Special Shabbat Service will be conducted
by the leadership of the Sisterhood Needlepoint Committee, and the sermon
will be delivered by Bonnie Yales, our designer and coordinator: “The
Fabric of Jewish Life.” Our dream has been fulfilled.

The bima cover is absolutely gorgeous. We all felt such a pride at the
dedication last month, as we will feel each and every time we are in
the sanctuary in the future. You did a beautiful job, and we deeply
appreciate all your time, hard work and dedication.

The new white Holyday Torah Mantles,
executed by Bonnie Yales of Boston, have filled our Ark with an exquisite
glow and have heightened the presence of a Yom Tov Spirit. The needlework
has the appearance of lace and filigree and the symbols of each Holyday
restate the tasks as they adorn the Torah scrolls.
